Snapshots of the Summer...So Far

Summer.  It turns me upside down.  Summer, summer, summer, like a merry-go-round.  Thanks, Ric Ocasek.  I will rely upon the power of the picture to give you a peek into what summer looks like for our family--and around these parts.

Buttercream roses and irises.

Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The beaten path.

Pioneer chimney remnant.

Wild blaze roses.  Our backyard.

Front row magnolia.

Magnolia visitor.

Mailbox daylillies.

“Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”
~Henry James

And, then, there's the pool.
But, that's another post entirely.
